Ideas for Re-designing Your Swimming Pool using Pool Fencing

Having a great pool is one thing, but making it stand out from the crowd with additional features is another challenge altogether. The following are some factors which will help you decide how to make your pool look so much better and give it that wow factor.

Type of Pool Fencing

The first issue is the kind of fencing which will be used. There are several types of pool fencing to choose from: Aluminium fencing, frameless glass pool fencing, and semi frameless glass pool fencing. While the metal fences may provide an extremely strong barrier to the pool area and are good for keeping really large dogs out of the pool, they tend to block the view.

On the other hand, glass pool fencing gives the pool façade an added touch of elegance. Its see-through design allows you to enjoy panoramic views of your surroundings, and you can choose from frameless and semi frameless glass pool fencing structures. These two types of pool fencing differ by the amount of metal framing used in the fencing, with frameless models using the minimum of support to provide those all-important views.

When choosing between the two types of glass pool fencing, it’s important to take into account the overall feel of the pool area.

Shape of the Fenced Pool Area

This depends largely on the shape of the pool itself. Also, consider the amount of floor space to be included within the fenced area for lounging or sunbathing.  For a more resort-like atmosphere around the pool, use any existing trees on your property as a natural source of shade and texture, making sure branches don’t overhang the pool that can make cleaning a nightmare.

If potted plants are used, these may be easily moved by larger dogs which can then gain access to the pool area. It might be a good idea to include plants that are rooted to the ground, possibly in raised beds or borders, to avoid such mishaps from occurring.
